Somme and Cambrai 1916-1918

Tour the Somme Battlefield and Cambrai, site of a major tank battle in 1917.

The 1916 Battle of the Somme is symbolic in history as one of the most horrible and senseless battles of the First World War.  This tour focuses on the first day of the battle, when the British people sacrificed the blood of their youth along a narrow front.  It then moves south to Cambrai, where more than 400 British tanks unsuccessfully tried to break through the Siegfried-Stellung in November 1917.

Tour length and geography can vary based on client availability, interest level and physical ability.  Tour length can last from six hours to several days to explore this operation in depth.
