Normandy 1944

Visiting the Landing Beaches in Normandy

The Normandy beaches are a very lovely landscape and a beautiful part France’s Atlantic Coastline.

Due to the Allied debarkation in June 1944 and the following fights, these beaches also represent a huge natural memorial, rich in interesting sites and places to visit.

More than 75 years ago, American, British and allied troops arrived on the Normandy Beaches to free Europe from Nazi terror.  Weeks and months of bloody fighting followed, causing countless wounded and dead soldiers of all nationalities.

Tour length and geography can vary based on client availability, interest level and physical ability.  Tour length can last from six hours, to visit one or two beaches, to several days to explore this operation in depth.  The landing beaches stretch along 80 miles of Normandy countryside.
