Normandy 1944

Visiting the Landing Beaches in Normandy

The Normandy beaches are a very lovely landscape and a beautiful part of the Atlantic coastline of France.

Due to the Allied debarkation in June 1944 and the following fights, these beaches represent today a huge natural memorial, rich of very interesting sites and places.

More than 75 years ago, American and British troops arrived at the Normandy beaches to free Europe from Nazi terror. During weeks and month bloody fights took place causing countless wounded and killed soldiers of all fighting parties.

This trip aims at visiting the most important sites along the 80 miles landing area. The length of it is depending on your availability and your ideas. It could take from six hours (one or two beaches) to several days.
